These Cinnamon Roll Bliss Bars offer all the flavors of a classic cinnamon roll in an easy-to-make bar form. Featuring a moist, buttery base swirled with a cinnamon-sugar mixture and topped with a rich, creamy cream cheese frosting, these bars are perfect for breakfast, dessert, or anytime a sweet treat is needed.

Ingredients

Scale

Base Batter

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup milk

Cinnamon Swirl

  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 4 ounce cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 23 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan to prevent sticking.
  2. Make the Base Batter: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well to combine. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined. Spread half of this batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  3. Prepare the Cinnamon Swirl: In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Pour in the melted butter and stir until the mixture is well combined and syrupy. Drop spoonfuls of this cinnamon-sugar mixture over the base batter layer in the pan. Then, spread the remaining batter on top of the cinnamon layer. Using a knife, gently swirl the cinnamon mixture through the top batter to create a marbled effect.
  4. Bake the Bars: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove from oven and allow the bars to cool completely on a wire rack for best results.
  5. Prepare the Cream Cheese Frosting: In a large bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and softened butter until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition. Add milk one tablespoon at a time until the frosting reaches a smooth, spreadable consistency.
  6. Frost and Serve: Evenly spread the cream cheese frosting over the cooled Cinnamon Roll Bliss Bars. Cut into squares and serve. Enjoy this indulgent treat at any time of day!

Notes

  • Make sure the bars are completely cooled before frosting to prevent melting.
  • The marbling effect can be intensified by gently swirling with a knife without overmixing.
  • Store leftover bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • For easier slicing, refrigerate the bars after frosting for about 30 minutes to firm up.
  • You can warm bars slightly before serving for a fresh-baked taste.
