  • Author: Marina
  • Total Time: 33 minutes
  • Yield: 8 cheeseburger bombs 1x

Description

These Irresistibly Cheesy Garlic Parmesan Cheeseburger Bombs are a delightful appetizer or snack featuring seasoned ground beef and melted cheddar cheese encased in buttery biscuit dough, topped with garlic butter and Parmesan cheese for a crispy, flavorful bite.

Ingredients

Scale

Cheeseburger Filling

  • 1 pound ground beef (Ground turkey or chicken can be used for a lighter option)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 cubes cheddar cheese (Any melty cheese like Monterey Jack or pepper jack can be used)

Dough and Topping

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8-count) (Homemade dough or pizza dough can be used)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (Olive oil can work as a dairy-free alternative)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (Use Pecorino Romano for sharper taste)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.
  2. Cook Beef: In a skillet, add 1 pound of ground beef and cook over medium heat until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat, then stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  3. Prepare Dough: Flatten each of the 8 rounds of biscuit dough into circles approximately 3 inches wide to create a base for the filling.
  4. Assemble Bombs: Spoon a generous amount of the cooled beef mixture into the center of each flattened biscuit circle. Place a cube of cheddar cheese on top of the beef filling.
  5. Seal Dough: Fold the edges of the biscuit dough over the filling and pinch together firmly to seal. Roll each sealed biscuit into a smooth ball to ensure no filling leaks during baking.
  6. Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the sealed dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly apart.
  7. Make Garlic Butter: Melt butter over low heat in a small pan, then stir in the minced garlic to infuse flavor.
  8. Brush and Top: Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over each dough ball. Then sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley for added flavor and a decorative touch.
  9. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Watch closely near the end to prevent over-baking.
  10. Cool and Serve: Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving warm. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauces for an irresistible treat.

Notes

  • Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter protein option.
  • Fresh garlic can replace garlic powder; 1 clove equals about 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder.
  • If using fresh onion instead of onion powder, reduce added moisture for better dough handling.
  • Olive oil can replace butter for a dairy-free version.
  • Parmesan can be swapped with Pecorino Romano for a sharper flavor.
  • Keeps well for leftovers; reheat in oven for best texture.
