  • Total Time: 27 minutes
  • Yield: About 36 cookies 1x

Description

These festive Santa’s Cookies combine a buttery, chewy base with a delightful mix of semi-sweet and white chocolate chips, along with colorful holiday-themed M&M’s and sprinkles. Perfect for celebrating the season, these cookies offer a delicious balance of sweetness and textures, baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Scale

Cookie Dough

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups light brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda

Mix-ins and Decorations

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Holiday (red/green) M&M’s candy
  • ¼ cup holiday (red/green) jimmies

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line baking sheets with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure even baking.
  2. Mix Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar for about 2 minutes until completely blended and creamy.
  3. Add Eggs and Vanilla: Incorporate the eggs and vanilla extract into the butter-sugar mixture, beating well until fully combined and smooth.
  4. Add Dry Ingredients: Gradually add in the all-purpose flour, kosher salt, and baking soda. Beat just until the dough comes together, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Fold in Mix-ins: Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, holiday M&M’s, and jimmies to evenly distribute the festive treats throughout the dough.
  6. Portion the Dough: Using a 2-tablespoon cookie scoop, drop rounded scoops onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart to allow for spreading.
  7. Bake the Cookies: Bake in the preheated oven for 11 to 13 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned but the centers remain soft.
  8. Cool the Cookies: Remove the baking sheets from the oven and let the cookies cool for several minutes on the sheets. Then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely before serving.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper or silicone mats to prevent cookies from sticking.
  • Do not overmix the dough to keep the cookies tender.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
  • For extra festive touch, add more holiday-colored sprinkles on top before baking.
  • Can be frozen as dough or fully baked cookies for later enjoyment.
