S’more Bars Recipe

  • Author: Marina
  • Total Time: 38 minutes
  • Yield: 12 bars 1x

Description

Deliciously gooey and chocolaty S’more Bars made with a buttery graham cracker crust, melted chocolate chips, and toasted mini marshmallows. Perfect for an easy dessert that brings the nostalgic flavors of classic campfire s’mores into a convenient bar form.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 2 cups Graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup Melted butter

Topping

  • 4 cups Chocolate chips
  • 1 package Mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it reaches the right temperature for baking the bars evenly.
  2. Prepare Pan: Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking and make removal easier.
  3. Make Crust Mixture: In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter, mixing thoroughly until the crumbs are evenly coated and hold together.
  4. Form Crust: Press the graham cracker mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of the prepared pan, creating an even crust layer.
  5. Initial Bake: Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 8 minutes to set and slightly firm it.
  6. Add Toppings: Remove the pan from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the warm crust, then layer the mini marshmallows on top of the chocolate chips.
  7. Bake to Toast Marshmallows: Return the pan to the oven and bake for another 20 minutes, or until the marshmallows have puffed up and turned golden brown.
  8. Cool Down: Remove the pan from the oven and let the S’more Bars cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate them to help set the bars for easier cutting.
  9. Serve: Once chilled, cut into bars and serve. Enjoy the gooey, sweet treat!

Notes

  • You can substitute chocolate chips with chopped chocolate or a mix of milk and dark chocolate for varied flavor.
  • For a crunchier crust, consider adding a teaspoon of sugar to the graham cracker and butter mixture.
  • If mini marshmallows are unavailable, regular marshmallows cut into smaller pieces work fine.
  • Store leftover bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Reheat briefly in a microwave to restore gooey texture before serving, if desired.
