Description

A creamy and flavorful Cajun Cream Cheese Alfredo Bowties dish featuring spiced ground beef, tender bowtie pasta, and a rich, cheesy Alfredo sauce enhanced with Cajun seasoning. This comforting meal combines the zest of Cajun spices with the smoothness of cream cheese and Parmesan for a satisfying dinner option.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta

  • 1 pound bowtie pasta

Meat

  • 1 pound ground beef

Sauce

  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Garnish (optional)

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the bowtie pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown the ground beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Remove the beef from skillet and set aside.
  3. Sauté aromatics: In the same skillet, add butter and sauté chopped onion and garlic until fragrant and soft.
  4. Melt cream cheese and make sauce: Add cream cheese to the skillet and stir until melted. Pour in heavy cream and stir until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Add Parmesan and seasonings: Stir in Parmesan cheese and adjust seasoning with more Cajun spice, salt, or pepper as desired.
  6. Combine beef with sauce: Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet and mix to coat it evenly in the creamy sauce.
  7. Mix pasta and sauce: Add the drained pasta and gently fold everything together until well coated. Warm through on low heat.
  8. Serve: Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, increase the Cajun seasoning according to taste.
  • You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter sauce, though it may be less thick.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and smoother melting.
  • Leftover pasta can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently on the stovetop.
  • Fresh parsley adds a nice color contrast and fresh taste but can be omitted if unavailable.
