Ingredients
Scale
For the Chicken
- 2 large chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
For the Alfredo Pasta
- 250g fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Optional Garnish
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Extra parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Honey Butter Chicken: Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken pieces and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 5–7 minutes until golden and cooked through. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Stir in honey and let it caramelize slightly for 1–2 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- Make the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and simmer for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
- Combine Everything: Add cooked pasta to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat evenly. Add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce to your preferred consistency. Return the honey butter chicken to the skillet and gently mix everything together to combine flavors.
- Serve: Plate the creamy pasta and top with extra parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately while warm to enjoy the best texture and flavor.
Notes
- Use fresh parmesan cheese for a smoother, better-melting sauce.
- Do not overcook the chicken to keep it juicy and tender.
- Adjust honey to control the sweetness level in the chicken.
- Reserve pasta water to perfect the sauce consistency.
- For a spicy version, add chili flakes to the sauce.
- Double the garlic if you prefer a stronger garlic flavor.
- For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
- Add vegetables like broccoli or spinach for more nutrition and flavor.
- Store leftovers airtight in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat gently on stovetop with a splash of milk to prevent sauce separation.
