Ingredients
Scale
Brownie Batter
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Cheesecake Swirl
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Red food coloring (optional for Valentine’s theme)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare the pan. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan to prevent sticking.
- Make the brownie batter. In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract together until fully combined.
- Add dry ingredients. Stir in the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt until the batter is smooth and uniform.
- Pour brownie batter into the pan. Transfer the brownie batter evenly into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Prepare the cheesecake swirl. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until creamy and smooth. Add red food coloring if desired to create a festive Valentine’s look.
- Swirl the cheesecake mixture. Drop spoonfuls of the cheesecake mixture evenly over the brownie batter. Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the cheesecake into the brownie batter creating a marbled effect.
- Bake the brownies. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs.
- Cool and serve. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares to ensure clean slices and the perfect texture.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days to maintain freshness.
- For a richer chocolate flavor, use dark cocoa powder instead of regular cocoa powder.
- Add heart-shaped sprinkles on top before baking for an extra festive Valentine’s Day touch.
